Formisano

A native of Torre del Greco (Naples, Italy), Giovanni Formisano has been called, “Truly an Italian tenor in the grand tradition.” He has received high praise for his interpretations of the Italian lyric tenor repertoire, with a special affinity for the classic songs from his native Naples. Winner of the “Talents of the World” voice competition in Boston and recipient of the Emerging Artist Award from the St. Botolph Club Foundation, Mr. Formisano was featured in a tribute concert in honor of the legendary baritone Dimitri Hvorostovsky at Carnegie Hall, alongside renowned mezzo-soprano Nino Surguladze and many others. His operatic and concert appearance include the tenor solo in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, Don José in Carmen with the Commonwealth Lyric Theater, the tenor solo in Verdi’s Requiem with the Paul Madore Chorale and Salem orchestra in Salem MA, Alfredo in La Traviata with Opera Providence, The Young Gypsy in Rachmaninoff’s Aleko with the Commonwealth Lyric Theater, Camille in The Merry Widow with Opera Providence, and Rodolfo in La bohème with Boston Opera Collaborative. Mr. Formisano’s past roles include the tenor solo in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Amherst College, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore with Center City Opera Theatre in Philadelphia and Opera del West, Arturo in Lucia di Lamermoor with Commonwealth Opera, Cavaradossi in Tosca with the Lowell House Opera, Pong in Turandot with the Connecticut Grand Opera and Lowell House Opera, Spoletta in Tosca with the Cape Cod Opera and the Ruggero in La rondine at the Longy School of Music.

Gastón

Efficace

Gastón Efficace is an accomplished Argentine tenor who has recently completed his Master’s degree in Opera Singing at the Academy of Music Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź, Poland, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Bednarek. He also holds a degree in Composition from UCA, Argentina.

In Germany, Efficace has performed in various operas and operettas, including roles such as Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Spoletta in Tosca, and Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte. His international performances include roles like Cecco in Il Mondo della Luna in Norway and Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd in Ireland.

Efficace has been recognized for his talent with a scholarship to the Lotte Lehmann Academy in Perleberg, Germany, in 2019, and he was a semifinalist in the Giovanni Bergamo Competition in Lugano, Switzerland, in 2023. His diverse repertoire and international experience highlight his versatility and dedication to his craft.

Shahram

YazdAni

Shahram Yazdani, an Iranian-German opera singer, vocal coach, and songwriter, resides in Germany. His musical journey commenced in 1999 with music theory studies under Morteza Del Shab. Between 2003 and 2007, he honed his skills in the Italian Appoggio technique with Franco Tenelli. In the summer of 2026, he is set to make his debut in the lead role of Giuseppe Verdi's Otello at an open-air opera event in Germany.

In September 2023, he was awarded the 3rd prize at Metropolitan Melodies, the New York International Singing Competition. In May 2023, he debuted as Don José in the opera Carmen, a production by Camerata Bardi and Teatro Grattacielo in Greece/Crete, accompanied by the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Myron Michailidis. This performance led to an invitation to sing again as Don José in August 2024 in Spain, south of Madrid, with the La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Francisco-Antonio Moya. Additionally, in September 2023, he was selected as one of the eight finalists for the 23rd Gala Tournament of Great Tenors, held as an open-air event before an audience of 3000 at the Letni Summer Theater, organized by Opera Na Zamku with its orchestra led by Maestro Jerzy Wołosiuk in Szczecin, Poland.

In the past four years, he has showcased his talent as a tenor in many gala concerts held by Opera Classica Europa and in the series honoring Enrico Caruso, attended by Caruso's great-grandson. He has taught at music schools in Tehran and Alborz, leading various singing seminars and workshops across Iran. Additionally, he was a guest professor at the Alborz University of Arts between 2015 and 2016. During this time, he also gave performances at the prestigious Rudaki and Vahdat halls, taking on roles in 'Rigoletto' and 'Tosca', and collaborating with the Aiso Orchestra under Christian Schultz. In 2016, he moved to Italy at the invitation of the Franz Liszt International Society in Grottammare to join the jury of a competition for young musicians. The next year, he relocated to Germany, where he has since lived and studied with esteemed artists like Chris Merritt, Martin Muehle, Montserrat Caballé, Nicola Martinucci, Giancarlo del Monaco, and Aprile Millo. He obtained his master's degree in music in 2010 and began his professional journey as a teacher and musician in Iran.

Filmmakers Margit Lukacs and Persijn Broerson produced an Avatar music video featuring Shahram's Persian rendition of Nat King Cole's "Nature Boy." This film has been exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris, the FOAM Museum in Amsterdam, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, as well as museums in Denmark, Belgium, and China.

Shahram is actively involved in contemporary music and was chosen for the role of Bloom in "The Wandering," based on James Joyce's "Ulysses" and composed by Ken Shakin. This piece debuted in 2018 at the Delphi Theater in Berlin, as a segment of the Irish Embassy's cultural program. Subsequently, he portrayed Thoth in Shakin's "Songs of the Dead" at Bethanien.

Shahram has performed and produced more than 14 pop singles in a variety of languages including Persian, Italian, Portuguese, German, and English. In his numerous recitals and performances, he merges the diverse languages of song, ranging from opera arias and love ballads to Italian tenor classics like La Danza and O Sole Mio, creating a distinctive sound that resonates from one man's heart, captivating and moving every audience.

Óskar

Bjartmarsson

Óskar Bjartmarsson, an acclaimed Icelandic tenor renowned for his resounding and lucid vocal agility, pursued his vocal studies at the esteemed Sigurður Demetz's School of Singing under the tutelage of Kristján Jóhannsson. Towering both in stature and talent, Óskar attained first place in the advanced category of Vox Domini in 2024, an accolade that catapulted his career. Subsequently, he assumed the coveted role of the Count in The Barber of Seville in the summer of 2024, at Schloss Beugen with Opera Classica Europa in Germany, under the musical direction of German-Italian conductor Benedict Sauer.

Óskar has taken part in a number of other operas, including Mozart's Schauss Spiel Direktor, J. Strauss II's Eine Nacht in Venedig, as well as a few modern Icelandic operas. In 2022 he had the pleasure to perform the role of Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème in 2022, and after critical acclaim, was asked back in 2023 to sing the role of Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni, which was produced by La Musica Lirica in Italy. In October 2022, Óskar was one of the soloists in the Bel Canto Opera Evening at Iðnó in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Stefan

Reichmann

Stefan Reichmann hails from Klagenfurt, Austria, where he initially received his education at the town's conservatory before subsequently attending the Vienna Conservatory of Music.

Possessing a particularly diverse repertoire, he has shone in opera performances encompassing the likes of Alfredo (Traviata), Rodolfo (Bohème), Jénik (Bartered Bride), Tamino (Magic Flute), Florestan (Fidelio), and Lohengrin (Lohengrin).

Additionally, as an Austrian, Mr. Reichmann harbors a deep passion for operetta, having already garnered much acclaim for his portrayals of such main characters as Czardasfürstin, Bettelstudent, Vogelhändler, Wiener Blut, Fledermaus, Graf von Luxemburg, and Zigeunerbaron, amongst many others.

His diverse talents have graced iconic performance venues around the world, including the Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg, Neue Oper Wien, Opera Kluj, Opera Craiova, and Theater an der Wien, with his popularity having garnered widespread recognition throughout Japan, China, and Europe.

Michael

Michael Nim hails from Seattle, Washington, USA. He began his professional singing career in 2014 and has since completed numerous roles. His debut as a lead was in the role of Alfredo in Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata in 2017 with Lyric Opera Northwest.

Subsequently, he has taken on other principal roles such as Rodolfo in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème, Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, and Don José in Georges Bizet's Carmen. He recently returned to the role of Alfredo in La Traviata with Bellevue Opera.

Since 2019, Michael has expanded his performances beyond America to European countries, including Germany with Opera Classica Europa, a series of concerts in Spain, participation in the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Italy, and concerts in England. He aims to create more opportunities to perform across as many European countries as possible.

Yuchen

Yuchen Pan hails from Xi’an, China. In September, he delivered an impressive performance at Teatro Todi, stepping in for Gianluca Terranova as Rodolfo in La bohème. The previous month, August 2024, saw Yuchen embodying the role of Rodolfo at the Ljubljana Festival, conducted by Maestro George Pehlivanian. Earlier in the summer, he took part in Operfest Prague and performed a concert at Smetana Hall.

In 2022, Yuchen made his debut as Rodolfo in La bohème and as Duca in Rigoletto at the Mediterranean Opera Summer Festival. He also collaborated closely with the Italian tenor Gianluca Terranova, preparing for major roles such as Edgardo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata, and Manrico in Verdi's Il Trovatore.

Prior to these accomplishments, Yuchen studied at the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music under Maestro Jack Livigni. In Philadelphia, he took the stage as Lensky in Eugene Onegin and Chekalinsky in The Queen of Spades with the Russian Opera Workshop.

He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in 2019 from Temple University in Philadelphia, majoring in Voice. Yuchen's musical journey began when he was a high school exchange student at Towson High School in Maryland in 2011.

JEFFREY

HARTMAN

Jeffrey Hartman, the first prize winner of the Offenbach Opera Competition in 2023, jumped in as Jean de Leyde in Meyerbeer's LE PROPHÈTE at Bard University in New York and also has performed with Opera Classica Europa in numerous concerts, including a tribute to Enrico Caruso and concerts for stage and screen. In 2023, he also sang the role of Bacchus in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS as part of MusikfürMusik and Verdi's MESSA DI REQUIEM with Opera Classica Europa. In 2022, Mr. Hartman successfully portrayed Calaf in TURANDOT at the Theater Regensburg, with Opera Magazine noting, "Jeffrey Hartman as Calaf has a thoroughly heroic tenor voice that always remains smooth and also impresses with his acting" (Klaus Kalchschmid).

After Regensburg, Jeffrey Hartman stepped in at the last minute to rehearse the role of Carlos in Verdi's Giovanna D'Arco with the chorus and symphony orchestra of the Utrecht Opera. Also in 2022, Mr. Hartman stepped in for Gregory Kunde as the rehearsal stand-in for Calaf in TURANDOT at the Hamburg State Opera. He made his debut in Austria, as well as his role debut, as Jean de Leyde in Meyerbeer's LE PROPHÈTE at the Landestheater Linz. The media reported that "the voice of the American tenor is like expensive velvet."

Before his engagement in Linz, he returned to Hong Kong to take on the role of Pinkerton in the Musica Viva Hong Kong production of MADAMA BUTTERFLY and made his debut in Poland as Don José in CARMEN at the Wroclaw Opera. In the same year, he made his debut in the title role of Les Contes d'Hoffmann at the Passaggio Opera Berlin. In September 2016, Mr. Hartman made his European debut at the Chemnitz Opera as Calaf in Turandot, where he was described as: "The American tenor was flawless with his soft, warm timbre" - Die Chemnitzer Morgenpost. He returned to Chemnitz for the revival of this production in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

In 2017, he also made his debut in the role of De Grieux in MANON LESCAUT at the Theater Osnabrück and in Great Britain with the Northern Ireland Opera and the Ulster Symphony Orchestra at the Ulster Hall in Belfast as Rodolfo in LA BOHÈME. In 2015, he joined the ensemble of the Lyric Opera in Chicago, where he served as an understudy for Cavaradossi in Tosca. Subsequently, he made his debut as Bacchus in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS at the Seattle Opera.

Mathew

Tartza

Mathew Tartza is a young dramatic tenor specializing in the demanding roles of Wagner, Verdi and other heroic operas. A true heldentenor with both power and nuance, his soaring high notes ring with heroic brilliance, while his lower register remains rich and commanding, embodying the essence of Wagnerian drama.

Tartza’s voice is not just about volume; it carries emotional depth, effortlessly shifting from thundering intensity to moments of tender lyricism. His breath control is masterful, and his tone possesses a golden warmth that captivates from the first note to the last. Whether in the grandeur of Calaf or the tortured passion of Siegmund, Tartza’s artistry elevates each role, making every performance an unforgettable experience.

Tartza has brought life to roles such as, Pollione in Norma (New Jersey Opera Theater), Remendado in Carmen (Boheme Opera NJ), and King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors (Boheme Opera NJ, New Jersey Opera Theater). His 2025 engagements include Ruiz and covering Manrico in Il Trovatore with Boheme Opera NJ and Gastone in La Traviata with New Jersey Opera Theater.

Beyond the opera stage, Tartza has been featured as a tenor soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Mozart’s Requiem with West Side Presbyterian Church. His repertoire also extends to musical theater, notably as Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd.

Tartza holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a Concentration in Pedagogy from Kean University.
